Not Good For Sharkfin DCA Right Now
A stock can still be a strong long-term or scheduled weekly DCA candidate while failing the sharkfin-entry test. The sharkfin entry needs an actual dip: RSI(14) pressing into or recovering from oversold, Stochastic (3,5,3) dipping below 20 and turning up, and preferably weekly/monthly structure that supports a reversal.
If RSI is still around the mid-50s to 60s and stochastic is mid-range or hot, that is momentum, not exhaustion. In that state, the dashboard should be read as watch-only unless the daily and higher timeframe gates improve.
Examples To Treat As Watch-Only
- SNDK: not sharkfin territory if RSI is near 60.6 and stochastic near 71.1. It may be scheduled DCA, but not sharkfin-entry DCA.
- WDC: not low enough if RSI is near 56 and price remains under key longer moving average support.
- STX: AI/data-center strength is not enough by itself if RSI is still near 58.
- LUMN: RSI can be genuinely oversold while stochastic is already mid-range; relabel this as confirmation-needed, not a full sharkfin entry.
- WMT: not a sharkfin if RSI is above 60 and stochastic/StochRSI are hot; that is closer to overbought than oversold.
Practical DCA Ranking
For a small DCA tranche, review in this order when the charts are close but not fully confirmed:
- MRVL
- INTC
- MU
- PLTR
For strict sharkfin entry: MRVL is closest, INTC is almost there, MU is early, and PLTR can show a stochastic sharkfin while still failing the larger trend filter.
Action Rule
Do not go heavy until the broker chart confirms both RSI(14) sharkfin and Stochastic (3,5,3) sharkfin on the daily chart, preferably with the weekly still in buy structure. This screen is technical screening, not financial advice.
